A Nursery for our Little Girl

I am so excited about this post because I not only get to share pictures of our baby girls’ nursery, but I get to tell the incredible story of how these pictures even came to life.

I’ll start with the story:

When Joshua and I moved to Rio we only had enough money to live here for 8 months (this is only referring to finances that will cover basic bills like rent, electric, groceries etc. Not furniture). When we say we moved here by faith, we’re being totally serious! Through an amazing series of events (that wouldn’t fit in this post!), God provided  financially for us to be here much longer than 8 months, plus extra money to be able to buy furniture for the nursery and the rest of our home. So, two months ago we had no money to buy a crib,  dresser or anything for the nursery, and today I am happy to be able to write a post to share the beauty of our baby girls’ room. God is BEYOND faithful!

And, on to the nursery!

Being a Pinterest connoisseur, I dove into the ocean of color schemes, styles, themes and designs. It was easy for me to pick a color scheme (grey, white, coral and metallic gold) and the room ‘look’ quickly followed. Gray walls were a must, white furniture to complement the walls and coral and gold accents to pull it all together. Now, keep in mind the nursery is not finished yet! We just got our furniture delivered and set up last week so there are still some details floating around in my mind that I want to make reality that I haven’t had the time to do so… yet! I have frames to hang, the triangles on the column to paint with coral, grey and gold paint, and shelves to put up. I also want to buy a wicker basket to use as a diaper/wipes holder instead of the current one on the dresser and get a nice comfy rug to cover up the tile floors. Once those details get finished I’ll give an update!

So, here is the (semi) finished product!

Here I am tracing the triangles on the wall. I didn't have a ruler so I'm using the next best thing!

It is a little hard to see but I traced this column with a triangle pattern that I will soon paint. The triangles will be a mixture of white, grey, metallic gold and coral colors!

Her precious crib! We found this crib for a great deal and it turns into a toddler bed down the road.

I Love her dresser. We've got a changing pad on top and a little 'diaper caddy' next to it with diapers and wipes and creams ready to be used!

We are so grateful to everyone who helped us make this nursery a reality and to our God and Savior who is truly the provider of every good and perfect thing!
